  • Insolvent Estate Brett Kebble, where Hans Klopper is one of the joint trustees and involved in unraveling the affairs of the slain mining magnate.(Sunday Times) (Business day) Brett Kebble Art Auction

  • Uthingo Management (Pty) Limited, the former holder of the licence to operate the South African Lottery, recently resolved by way of special resolution to voluntarily wind the company up. They wanted to this in an orderly fashion to ensure that all outstanding liabilities be settled and the balance thereafter be distributed to shareholders. They entrusted this process to Independent Trustees.


  • The C N A,  matter administered by Hans Klopper, and Dawie van der Merwe, which included the disposal of 139 stores to the value of approximately R 142 million.

  • Black Top Surfaces, one of the largest road surface contractors in South Africa was recently placed in liquidation and Independent Trustees is attending to the winding- up process.
Other high profile matters administered by us over the years include:
  • L Suzman Distributors, a company with an annual turnover of almost R1.6 billion – one of the largest liquidations in this country in recent times.

  • Kwa Zulu Natal Medical Aid Scheme – a medical aid scheme where Hans Klopper acted as the first Curator in terms of the Medical Schemes Act 131 of 1998 in South Africa and where the scheme was restored to solvency and returned to its Board of Trustees. 

  • Plasgroup – a listed company and major manufacturer of plastic containers.

  • National Exhibition Centre (NEC) – a company that operated the Rand Easter Show and various other major national and international exhibitions at the Centre.

  • Baby Boom – a company with 22 Baby & Toy Boom stores nationwide.
